Physical Therapist - School Setting in Chicago Heights, IL

A healthcare role is available in Chicago Heights, IL, providing physical therapy services within a school setting. This contract position requires a skilled Physical Therapist (PT) who can bring expertise in both healthcare and educational environments. Working two days per week, the PT will play a critical role in supporting the physical therapy needs of school-aged children while overseeing and guiding the work of a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).


Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with various needs in the school environment.
• Supervise and mentor the PTA to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to treatment plans.
• Collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, and families to optimize student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with relevant healthcare and educational regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing individualized treatment strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with a strong background in both healthcare and school-based therapy.
• Experience supervising PTAs, demonstrating leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team within a school setting.
• Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy and school health policies preferred.
