CGP: Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $43.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounting records by monitoring financial transactions and ensuring proper system processing.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies related to purchasing, inventory, invoicing, and payment activities.
• Perform account reconciliations and review transaction data to support accurate financial reporting.
• Support inventory accounting by analyzing inventory movements, balances, and related financial records.
• Assist with month end close activities and accounting projects while ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Bring experience in staff accounting, general ledger accounting, or inventory related accounting functions.
• Demonstrate strong recent experience using NetSuite within a professional accounting environment.
• Possess knowledge of purchasing processes, vendor transactions, and financial transaction workflows.
• Maintain the ability to research accounting issues and identify the source of transaction errors or discrepancies.

• Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to investigate exceptions and correct accounting inaccuracies.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when reviewing financial records and transaction activity.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, accounting teams, and operational stakeholders.
• Maintain proficiency with accounting systems and the ability to navigate complex financial data.
• Bring experience with inventory accounting, vendor prepayments, consignment inventory, or enterprise resource planning systems considered beneficial.
