Asset Manager

Velocity Venture Partners is growing—and we’re looking for a smart, analytical, and driven individual to join our asset management team and work directly with our Chief Operating Officer. The is a full-time, on-site role based in Bala Cynwyd, PA. We’re a fast-growing real estate investment and development firm focused on Class B industrial properties throughout Greater Philadelphia. We’ve acquired 9M+ SF across 100+ buildings, serving 400+ tenants including Scrub Daddy, Amazon and FedEx. The role reaches all areas of our business and portfolio. Here are some examples: Work across Velocity’s in-house property management and accounting teams to develop asset management plans and budgets for each property. Assist in periodic variance report creation and reviews. Support the resolution of tenant-related disputes and opportunities, including legal or operational items as they arise. Manage insurance claims as needed and assist in the annual placement of insurance policies Serve as a point‑person for certain equity or debt relationships that are involved in the operations of some assets. Some capital markets relationships have approval rights over certain asset decisions and others just need to be kept in the loop on how an asset is performing. Support the creation or management of portfolio‑wide dashboards and analysis for items like HVAC, roofs, vacancies and utilities. Collaborate with Velocity’s in-house construction and property management teams to track tenant fit outs and ensure timely turnover and maximize rent commencement. Who we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related field. Highly organized, detail-oriented, accountable, and efficient time management skills. Curious, proactive and eager to learn. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Advanced Excel / Microsoft Office proficiency. Strong interpersonal & communication skills. Knowledge of commercial or industrial real estate operations not required but would certainly be beneficial. We’re looking for intelligence, work ethic, curiosity, and character above all else.
