Work Environment\n

This role primarily operates in a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility in scheduling while serving clients throughout Hillsboro, Oregon, and beyond. Therapists will conduct sessions either in their clients' homes or at our outpatient office, providing vital continuity of care and consistency. This work environment emphasizes teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals, ensuring all therapists are supported in their roles.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Implement effective strategies for managing high-risk behaviors and challenges, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and aggression.
\n
• Provide support and guidance to caregivers, enhancing their skills in decision-making and behavioral management.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists, engaging in regular interdisciplinary meetings to discuss client progress and holistic strategies.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake records, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 with developmental disabilities and cognitive challenges. The therapist will be instrumental in delivering intensive, in-community therapy services that address the diverse needs of these young individuals. A significant aspect of this role is cultivating a positive therapeutic relationship that fosters trust and promotes engagement in treatment.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability for at least 5-10 hours per week, specifically during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with additional flexibility on weekends preferable.

• Proficiency in providing positive behavior support techniques.
\n
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for client visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Experience in community-based therapy settings is highly beneficial.

• Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese, are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits\n
