Rehabilitation Services Coordinator

Location 12400 Portland Ave Suite 140 Burnsville, MN 55337-6805 Job Summary As the first point of contact at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, the Rehabilitation Services Coordinator creates a welcoming experience for patients and clients. You manage check‑in, verify accurate records and demographics, and schedule future appointments—helping ensure a smooth start to each patient’s rehabilitation journey. Key Position Details 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two‑week pay period) Combination of 8‑ and 12‑hour day/evening shifts (7:30am – 6:00pm, 10hrs / 4 days) No Fridays, no weekend or major holiday requirements Principle Responsibilities Schedule and/or reschedule patient appointments, procedures, diagnostic tests and related appointments. Enter all scheduling documentation in the electronic medical record. Register patients, verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations as needed. Create, delete and modify schedule versions and calendars to reflect changes in Therapist schedules. Arrange interpreter services for patients as needed. Administrative Department Support Provide department reception, patient check‑in and telephone coverage, routing messages accordingly. Organize and maintain department records, manuals and patient education materials. Participate in completion of patient data reporting requirements and compliance with regulatory standards. Create and maintain all training materials for new and current employees. Assist physicians with reimbursements/expense reports, physician credentialing, charge capture and medical records. Provides Department Support Maintain governmental payor logs, including faxing. Update patient charts. Assist department with sending email communication related to initial patient assessments. Chart Preparation Analyze patient records to determine if outside documents are needed. Contact document source, obtain records, scan and index into the electronic medical record. Other Duties Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Customer service experience. 1+ years scheduling experience in a healthcare setting. Experience with EPIC. 1+ years in‑person customer service. Experience working with patients. Physical Demands Sedentary: Lifting weight up to 10lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently. Pay Range $22.04 to $30.01 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
