Key Responsibilities\n

1. Comprehensive Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients with mood disorders, gathering detailed information about their mental health history, current symptoms, and psychosocial factors to inform treatment decisions.

2. Accurate Diagnosis: Use DSM-5 criteria and other relevant diagnostic tools to arrive at precise diagnoses, ensuring that each client's unique presentation is thoroughly understood.

3. Individualized Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop customized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapies, addressing their specific needs and therapeutic goals.

4. Evidence-Based Psychotherapy: Deliver effective psychotherapy interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to promote healthy coping mechanisms and emotional resilience.

5. Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during crises, developing action plans and interventions for clients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.

6. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations, including progress notes and treatment updates.

7. Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure integrated and seamless care for clients.

You will work with a diverse clientele, primarily focusing on adults and adolescents facing challenges related to mood disorders, including anxiety and depression. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensing as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Proven ability to conduct effective therapy and assessment with an emphasis on mood disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

Two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, specializing in mood disorders is preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and experience in a team-centric environment will set candidates apart.

Compensation and Benefits\n
