The Role:
• Location: Richmond, VA 23226
• Assignment duration: 9/14/2026 - 12/14/2026 (91 days)
• Position Type: Travel (1 position)
• Practice Setting: Office and inpatient coverage
• Shift Type: Mon-Fri clinic coverage 8:00a-4:15p with nightly call on weekdays and 24-hour weekend call coverage
• Coverage expectations: Providers rotate between two clinic sites (hospitals ~30 minutes apart); phone consults may be required for occasional coverage at a third site
• Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 27
• Number of Physicians in Practice: 1 per site (2-provider service total)
• APP Coverage: 1 NP who rotates sites
• Will locum supervise others: No
• Number of Exam Rooms: 3
• Onsite Lab: No
• Onsite Ultrasound: Yes (GE 10)
• Support Staff: RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, front office team
• Percentage Low Risk vs High Risk Pregnancy: ~5% low risk / ~95% high risk
• Required Procedures/Skill Sets: Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling, cerclage (preferred), pre-eclampsia management, multiple pregnancy care, growth restriction, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital abnormalities, pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, genetic disorders, birth defects, vaginal and cesarean birth, and management of other fetal or maternal co-morbidities
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC, Viewpoint
• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
• Travel/Expense Reimbursement: Flight, hotel, rental car, mileage billed at IRS standard rate
• Weekend Call: Yes (24-hour coverage on weekends)
• Candidates must be able to offer 1-2 weeks per month ongoing

Submission / Requirements:
• Board Certified/Board Eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) - REQUIRED
• Fellowship - REQUIRED
• VA License - REQUIRED
• BLS - REQUIRED
• AIUM Certification - Preferred
• Providers must submit to all three related job postings to be considered: (65643, 65644, 65645) - REQUIRED
• A Self-Query NPDB report is required at the time of presentation (should be pulled within 30 days)
