The Role:

• Location: Richmond, VA 23226
• Assignment duration: 9/14/2026 - 12/14/2026 (91 days)
• Profession: Maternal-Fetal Medicine (Physician) - Locum coverage
• Coverage: Mon-Fri clinic coverage 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM with nightly call on weekdays and 24-hour weekend call coverage; on-call required
• Type: Travel
• Number of Positions: 1
• Coverage Setting: Office and inpatient coverage across multiple regional hospitals and clinics (providers rotate between sites; sites are ~30 minutes apart)
• Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 27
• Number of Physicians in Practice: 1 per site (two-provider service across sites)
• APP Support: 1 NP rotates sites
• Will Locum Supervise Other Providers: No
• Number of Exam Rooms: 3
• Onsite Lab: No
• Onsite Ultrasound: Yes (GE 10)
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC, Viewpoint
• Required Procedures/Skill Sets: Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling, cerclage (preferred), management of pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancy, growth restriction, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital abnormalities, pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, genetic disorders, vaginal and cesarean birth, and other high-risk maternal-fetal conditions
• Willing to accept candidates that need to obtain state license: Yes (VA license required)
• Credentialing: Estimated 90 days
• Facility reimburses: Flight, Hotel, Rental Car, Mileage billed at the IRS Standard Rate
• On-call expectations: Weekday and weekend coverage required; candidates must be able to provide 1-2 weeks per month ongoing

Submission requirements / Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine - REQUIRED
• Fellowship in MFM - REQUIRED
• VA license - REQUIRED
• BLS - REQUIRED
• AIUM Certification - PREFERRED
• Candidates must be available 1-2 weeks per month ongoing - REQUIRED
• Providers must submit to all related job postings to be considered - REQUIRED
• A Self-Query NPDB report pulled within 30 days is required at time of presentation - REQUIRED
• Credentialing at multiple facilities required (estimated 90 days)
