Medical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring a Technical Lab - Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility-based Clifton NJ 07012. This is a 6-7-month assignment (possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Position Name Technical Lab - Medical Laboratory Scientist Location Clifton NJ 07012 Pay rate $40/hour Duration 6-7 months contract with possible extension Shift Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5:30 pm. Job Responsibilities Perform specimen handling, testing, analysis, and reporting according to laboratory SOPs and quality standards. Review and release test results while maintaining accurate patient and testing records. Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, safety, QC, and QA guidelines. Maintain laboratory instruments, calibrations, reagents, and documentation. Identify, troubleshoot, and report testing or equipment issues to supervisors. Report STAT and critical results as required. Participate in training, inspections, safety programs, and departmental meetings. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and confidentiality of patient information. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Required Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of laboratory testing, QC/QA processes, and laboratory operations. Proficient computer and multitasking skills with the ability to work in multiple systems. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Education & Qualifications BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology; or Associate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology. ASCP or AMT certification preferred or eligible. Foreign graduates must provide IERF credential evaluation; U.S. graduates must provide official transcripts. Experience Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing preferred. State/national licensure required where applicable.
