Human Resources Coordinator
HOPE RISING PREGNANCY CENTER INC
Objective of the Position: Efficiently and effectively equip staff (paid and volunteer) to serve with excellence. Reports to: Director of Business Management Supervises: none Status: Part-time, 30 hours per week, hourly non-exempt Scheduled Hours: 9:00 am 3:00 pm, Monday Friday with occasional early morning, evenings and weekends Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in business, human resources or a related field or equivalent work experience desired Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization and problem-solving skills, and highly proficient in Microsoft Office Qualifications: Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and SaviorExhibit a strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life positionAgree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and the policies and procedures of Hope RisingBe able to respect and keep information confidentialComplete the volunteer training and position orientationBe able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervisionBe able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and support to volunteers and staffHave a valid drivers licenseBe able to commute to all centers Essential Functions: Ensures efficient recruitment process for new staff including: Recruitment, interviewing, tracking status of candidates and communicating with candidatesSubmitting online investigation requests and background checksVerifying references and credentialsWriting offer letters Ensures efficient hiring process of new staff members including; Prepares new-employee filesProcessing required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions, including I-9 verificationMaintaining current copies of all I-9 documents separate from personnel files Conducts and ensures efficient onboarding of new staff membersAnnually review, and, if necessary, update forms, including employee application, reference forms, interview itineraries, and other employment related documents, statements of faith, corporate policiesUpdate and maintain current organizational chartMaintain current records of all employees, job descriptions, and status within the organizationDevelop and maintain effective communication system for all staff and volunteersPerforms customer service functions by answering employee requests and questionsAssists with processing of terminationsServes as back-up to Director of Business Management for payroll submissionPrepares performance review process and ensures that all staff receive annual evaluationEvaluate staffs professional development needs and identify training opportunitiesEstablish ongoing training protocol and increase professional development engagement (starting October 2024 with completion in October 2025)Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; files documents and performs other clerical functionsAssists or prepares correspondence as neededAdministers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminationsContinually update Human Resources Coordinator Job Manual and TimelineDevelop annual Human Resources budgetDevelop and implement strategic plan for Human ResourcesProvide monthly written reports (by the 9th of every month) to the Executive DirectorProvide statistics as neededConduct a comprehensive review of an Hope Risings HR policies, practices, procedures, and workforce metrics to ensures alignment with business goals, legal compliance, employee engagement, and workforce efficiencyAttend and participate in monthly Staff meetings held on the second Thursday of the monthOther duties assigned by Director of Business Management or Executive Director Physical and Mental Requirements: Visual and auditory accuracyContinuous use of computerFrequent use of telephoneContinuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both handsContinuous conversational communicationOccasional reaching, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting and climbingFrequent use of personal car (mileage reimbursement is available)Understand/carry out simple/detailed, oral/written instructionsMemorize and retain instructionsRead and interpret detailed specificationsFrequent lifting of 20 lbs. or more The Human Resources Coordinator shall receive at least one annual written and oral evaluation by the Director of Business Management
