Responsibilities Assist with determining cost and pricing, develop procedures, and ensure compliance for international freight shipments. Prepare shipping freight forwarding requests, analyze forwarder rates and carrier routings, and award/manage U.S. and foreign shipments. Ensure regulatory requirements are met, shipments have correct paperwork (commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.), and documentation is processed and distributed to carriers, forwarders, customers, and customs agents on time. Maintain accurate costs and profits by completing proper billing to clients based on agreed pricing. Ensure end‑to‑end delivery by collaborating with internal and external parties and communicating proactively with domestic and overseas partners, terminals, and other modes of transportation. Develop techniques and procedures for transporting commodities from local or offshore locations to warehouses, storage offices, or final consignee locations for nominated shippers. Develop and manage relationships with local suppliers and co‑load carriers (airline agents, freight forwarders, customs brokers, local pickup and delivery firms, regional trucking companies, and line‑haul providers). Perform prompt and accurate data entry into various internal systems. Maintain polite, timely, and efficient world‑class customer service. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in the international logistics industry. Extensive experience with major carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL) and international freight forwarders. Excellent writing and speaking skills for complex communication. Innovative thinking and fast execution to accelerate task progress. Proficiency in ERP, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and database functions. Outgoing, forward‑thinking mindset with quick problem‑decoding ability. Knowledge of applicable state, federal, and international laws and regulations (customs, security, import/export agencies). Compensation and Benefits The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $42,000 - $55,000 annually.
