Job Description The Imaging Coordinator supports the manager in accomplishing the mission of the organization by leading frontline caregivers to ensure optimal, safety, quality, satisfaction, engagement, compliance, operations, staffing, processes, efficiency, training, mentoring, etc. The role may include one or more imaging modalities and fundamentally coordinates the daily team activities. Primarily coordinates teams in community-level hospitals but may also include select teams in trauma-level hospitals, coordinating small mixed modality or larger single modality teams. Posting Specifics Benefits Eligible: Yes Unit/Location: Park City Hospital Imaging Schedule: Flexible schedule options available: Four 10‑hour shifts Five 8‑hour shifts Typically Monday–Friday Essential Functions Ensures patient, caregiver, and guest safety and satisfaction in accordance with existing principles and standards. Ensures provision of high‑quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services in an operationally effective and efficient manner. Promotes caregiver engagement and team initiatives; assists in hiring, orienting, training, staffing, retaining, evaluating, and motivating competent engaged caregivers. Maintains positive relationships within the department and facility, including other departments, radiologists, referring physicians, and customers. Early adopter, exemplar, implementer, super user, problem solver, champion, and idea generator. Skills Patient safety Patient care Clinical excellence Radiology competency Communication Leadership Content expertise Advanced imaging techniques and knowledge Computer literacy Minimum Qualifications Professional clinical certification/registration (e.g., ARRT, ARDMS, etc.) Current state radiology technician license (if required for clinical discipline) Basic life support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Demonstrated imaging technologist experience. Preferred Qualifications Five years of progressive imaging experience preferred. Experience in X‑Ray and CT, with additional modality experience strongly preferred. Prior leadership, coordinator, charge tech, or operational support experience in an imaging department preferred. Experience supporting both administrative functions and direct clinical patient care. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred. Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require verbal communication as well as hearing and understanding spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy; frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients; also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, typically including items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment; includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items; often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms. May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time. For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
