Industrial Maintenance Technician

Key Job Responsibilities Ensure that the plant facilities and equipment are kept in optimal working condition and safety standards are upheld. Develop and follow a thorough preventive maintenance program for all machinery. Operate and test automated lines, systems, and equipment. Restore, repair, overhold, or replace faulty or non‑functional components and parts. Enhance the performance and reliability of facility systems and related equipment by identifying, proposing, and executing modifications, expansions, and additions. Organize forklift maintenance and guarantee that daily forklift inspections are conducted. Promote a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to established standards, procedures, and legal codes and regulations. Expand job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and reviewing technical literature. Demonstrate self‑motivation and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Recognize the significance of fulfilling commitments. Provide on‑call duty during evenings and weekends may be necessary. Qualifications, Education & Experience Technical understanding required. Able to troubleshoot electronics, pneumatic and mechanical systems and make necessary repairs in a timely and cost‑effective manner. Some carpentry skills preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred. Machinery maintenance experience required. Welding and electrical experience. Must be self‑motivated and able to make limited and independent judgments based on given alternatives. Able to listen and communicate effectively. Able to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret assorted tasks or instructions. Work Environment Work will be performed in an indoor manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high and requires the use of hearing protection. The employee is required to wear PPE and may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Lunches and breaks are regulated.
