Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and provide crisis intervention to patients dealing with emotional and behavioral issues, tailoring approaches to individual needs.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to communicate patient progress, identify needs and concerns, and address any potential issues.

• Document all clinical interactions in an organized and timely manner, adhering to departmental policies and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

• Facilitate the development of comprehensive treatment plans, including discharge strategies, rooted in psychosocial assessments and best practice interventions.

• Build and maintain relationships with community resource leaders, actively representing New Dawn Wellness at various meetings and committees focused on addressing social determinants of health that affect our patient population.

Ideally, you will possess a strong understanding of the unique needs associated with our community in Roseville and the greater Sacramento area, bringing empathy and culturally competent strategies to your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient mental health setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in individual and group therapy.

• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, enabling clear and effective documentation and collaboration.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience with substance abuse assessments and evidence-based therapeutic modalities is preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and an understanding of the social, economic, and cultural factors influencing mental health in underserved populations will be advantageous.
