Position Overview and Qualifications

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will carry out essential diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions across all age groups. Working as part of a patient-centered care team, your responsibilities will include basic maintenance of respiratory equipment, quality control, and various administrative or technical tasks.

• Set up and operate different types of respiratory care devices.
• Conduct a variety of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics.
• Show proficiency in proper airway management.
• Assess patients accurately, interpret results, and recommend alternative respiratory treatments.
• Demonstrate competence in routine patient evaluations and recognize respiratory dysfunction effectively.
• Act as a respiratory care protocol assessor by delivering therapy, reassessing patients promptly, and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Engage in regular communication with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient care plans and updates.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Neonate Resuscitation certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential.
• State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP) license.
• Associate Degree in a relevant field.
