Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

A Kforce client is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join their growing accounting team. This is a fully remote position; However, candidates must reside in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, or South Florida.Overview:The firm continues to experience strong growth, including recent expansion into new markets, creating exciting opportunities for accounting and billing professionals.The Billing Specialist will play a key role in supporting the firm's billing operations, working closely with attorneys and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing. This position is best suited for someone with strong law firm billing experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Billing Specialist will prepare and process client invoices, including generating and reviewing prebills
• Edit attorney time entries and ensure compliance with client billing guidelines
• Submit invoices through various e-billing platforms and resolve billing discrepancies
• As a Billing Specialist, you will maintain billing rates and update client records as needed
• Set up new matters and manage billing data within the system
• Review and correct billing errors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Skills

• 8-10+ years of legal billing experience (law firm required)
• Strong experience with Aderent ERP
• Hands-on experience with full billing cycle (prebills, edits, final billing)
• Experience working with attorneys on time edits and billing adjustments
• Knowledge of e-billing platforms (e.g., Legal Exchange, Collaborati, Tymetrix, Serengeti, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume billing
• Ability to interpret client billing guidelines and ensure compliance
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
