Key Responsibilities\n

In the role of Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and formulate treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, including the development of crisis intervention strategies and behavioral guidelines.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation that complies with regulatory standards and facilitates effective communication among team members.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to support clinical decision-making and enhance treatment outcomes.

• Collaborate with various programs to design and execute positive behavior support plans that encourage client engagement and growth.
\n
• Actively engage in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring that we meet all necessary standards.

• Serve as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners, facilitating resource access for clients.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and state agencies to promote our services and secure partnerships that can lead to new funding opportunities.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and participating in statewide meetings related to mental health initiatives.

• Foster an agency culture that aligns with our core mission, values, and ethical standards.

• Complete various responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Director, adapting to the evolving needs of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse patient population facing various challenges, including mental health disorders, substance use issues, and developmental disabilities. You will provide essential support to individuals and their families, helping them navigate their journeys towards recovery and wellness. Resilience, empathy, and cultural competence will be critical as you interact with clients from different backgrounds, each with their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are required for this position:

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required.

• Possession of an Independent LMHC License is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with prior experience in community health, crisis intervention, or similar environments will be viewed favorably. Additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques (such as trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, etc.) would enhance your application.
