General Summary

The Medical Staff Office Secretary plays a key role in ensuring smooth office functions through efficient document management and communication support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, mailing, faxing, photocopying, and scanning documents accurately and in an organized manner.
• Answer and screen telephone calls, take messages, and provide information courteously and professionally.
• Welcome visitors and clients to the department with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Maintain and update medical staff call schedules.
• Ensure medical staff documents are current and accurately maintained on the Medical Staff intranet page.
• Adapt to changes, embrace new ideas, take on additional responsibilities, and work effectively despite frequent interruptions.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

At least one year of secretarial experience involving word processing software and computer operations is necessary. Experience with medical terminology is preferred.

Mental/Physical Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Must be capable of lifting and/or carrying up to 20 pounds.
