Registered Nurse - IMCU/PCU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU), caring for a diverse patient population including adults and those with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory diagnoses. The unit comprises 64 beds, with 15 designated for neuro patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to complex patients in the IMCU/PCU setting.
• Monitor and assess patients, modifying care plans as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize specialty equipment including temp pacers, chest tubes, A lines, and Bipap.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Active New York RN license required, along with any additional state RN licenses.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Driver's license with a current address matching demographic information.
