Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher working with a dedicated school team near Anoka, MN. This contract-based role runs from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and will focus on supporting up to 10 students. You'll be collaborating closely with paraprofessionals and an Intervener to provide students with tailored learning experiences and support.

This position is ideal for educators passionate about working with elementary-aged children in special education settings. The school especially seeks candidates experienced with autism spectrum disorder, and who hold at least a Tier 2 license. Please note, an active special education license is required; candidates must already be fully credentialed through PELSB/MDE.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, active special education license (PELSB/MDE required)
• At least Tier 2 licensure; preference for those with ASD teaching experience
• Background in working with elementary-age learners with diverse needs
• Proven ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and support staff
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 students, creating and implementing individualized education plans
• Collaborate with supporting Paras and an Intervener to optimize student learning
• Adapt teaching approaches and resources to address each child’s unique learning requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
• Partner with families and other educational professionals to ensure consistent support and goal alignment

This position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5–40 hours per week, providing structure and consistency throughout the school year.
