This contract opportunity, set near Andover, MN, spans the full academic year from September 1, 2026, to June 4, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 to 40 hours per week.

As an educator, you’ll serve a manageable caseload of up to 10 students, collaborating closely with a team that includes paraprofessionals and an intervener dedicated to ensuring each child receives individualized attention. Your expertise will be especially valued if you have a background working with students on the autism spectrum; those holding a Tier 2 ASD teaching credential are highly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

• Valid, active Minnesota special education license (PELSB/MDE required; candidates without licensure unfortunately cannot be considered)
• Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Tier 2 credential strongly preferred, especially with ASD specialization
• Strong collaboration skills for working with Paraprofessionals and support staff
• Commitment to developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adaptability and compassion to meet diverse learning and behavioral needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and instruct a caseload of up to 10 elementary students
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals and accommodations
• Coordinate with Paras, Intervener, and multidisciplinary teams
• Employ engaging, differentiated instructional strategies for varying abilities
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families
