A rewarding contract opportunity to support students in a middle school resource classroom awaits those passionate about education and student development. This role offers the chance to make a difference in students’ lives during the 26/27 school year with a schedule that supports work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
- At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meet at least one pathway below:
- Minimum of two years of college credits (around 60 semester credits) from an accredited institution
- Associate degree or higher
- Passing score on an approved assessment (ParaPro Assessment: 455; ParaEducator: 65% Instructional Support, 70% Knowledge and Application)
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to adapt to student needs and support individualized learning plans
- Dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic about working with middle school-aged children
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in providing instruction and support to students in a resource classroom
- Work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce learning objectives and modify assignments as needed
- Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under guidance
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
- Support students with classroom routines, organization, and behavioral expectations
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and school staff to ensure high-quality learning experiences
