Make a meaningful impact in classrooms supporting elementary students as a highly-qualified paraprofessional on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This role offers several openings across various elementary sites, providing the opportunity to select the school location that aligns best with your interest and commute. You’ll be integral in fostering a supportive learning environment for children and working alongside educators and school teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid qualification as per Minnesota standards: passing the MN Para Educator Exam (Parapro or ParaEducator) or at least 60 college credits with official transcripts (please, no diplomas or degree photos)
- Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Flexibility and willingness to assist with all aspects of student support, including toileting
- Strong communication skills and reliability
- Ability to commit to a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule (32.5 hours per week) from the end of August to late November, with the potential for direct hire after the contracting period
- Detailed-oriented with the ability to follow location-specific preferences—please indicate your top-choice elementary site when applying
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom activities and provide one-on-one or group assistance to students
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans and classroom modifications
- Assist students with daily living activities as needed, including personal care
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere within the school community
