Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a dedicated Special Education Teacher working part-time in a dynamic self-contained classroom environment. This contract role offers flexibility for professionals with expertise in Early Childhood Special Education, with the potential for future full-time opportunities.
Current work day options include Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm, or a blend of longer Monday and Wednesday shifts (8:15 am to 4:15 pm) with a shorter Tuesday (8:15 am to 12:15 pm), accommodating a variety of scheduling preferences. Mondays are devoted exclusively to paperwork or meetings, ensuring you have the support you need to excel in your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to young learners in a self-contained special education setting.
- Collaborate with two full-time paraeducators to create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere.
- Float as a substitute within the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program as needed.
- Engage in team meetings, complete documentation, and participate in continuous professional development.
- Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and families to support educational growth.
Qualifications:
- Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education teaching license required.
- Prior experience in special education preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet each child’s unique needs.
