We're looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join our team.What You'll DoManage and optimise the corporate real estate portfolio across North and South America, leading transaction execution and stakeholder engagement to deliver cost-effective, flexible, and scalable real estate solutions aligned with business objectives.The Day-to-DayPortfolio & Transaction Management (Core Focus)Own the performance and optimisation of a diverse portfolio including offices, warehouses, labs, and serviced locations throughout the AmericasSupport the development and execution of regional portfolio strategies in partnership with the Director of Global Real EstatePartner with internal lease administration teams and external providers to monitor lease events, critical dates, and market conditions, proactively managing risks and opportunitiesLead end-to-end real estate transactions across North and South America, including acquisitions, renewals, expansions, subleases, and terminationsManage all phases of the transaction lifecycle from strategy, site selection, and financial analysis through to agreement of heads of terms and execution of lease agreementsNegotiate commercial terms to improve value and mitigate risk to the businessAppoint and manage brokers and local market advisors to support deliveryLead the real estate workstream for capital projects, including securing site control and negotiating lease documentation, prior to handover to Facilities/project delivery teamsOffer flexible support across the global real estate portfolio, partnering on projects and transactions outside North and South America as neededFinancial Analysis & Business Case DevelopmentDevelop detailed financial models comparing real estate options, including rent, operating costs, capital investment, and lifecycle costsPrepare robust cases and recommendations for senior leadership, balancing cost, functionality, and strategic considerationsTrack and report on cost savings, capital spend, and portfolio performanceInput on annual budget development and regular budget reconciliations to planStakeholder & Vendor ManagementAct as the primary real estate partner for regional business leaders, providing strategic advice and mentorshipCollaborate with Finance, Legal, Tax, Insurance, Facilities, and external partners to deliver transactions efficientlyManage landlord relationships and act as key point of contact for lease interpretation and negotiationsGovernance, Data & ReportingMaintain accurate lease and portfolio data within real estate systems (e.g., CoStar)Ensure compliance with corporate policies, lease obligations, and regulatory requirementsPrepare reporting, dashboards, and executive presentations on portfolio performance and transaction activityContinuous Improvement & Cost OptimisationIdentify and implement cost reduction and efficiency initiatives across the portfolioDrive process improvements in real estate operations and data managementExplore market incentives and innovative structuring opportunities to optimise outcomesApply experience with AI and digital tools to streamline processes, enhance data capabilities, and unlock operational efficienciesWhat You'll NeedProven experience (typically 5–8+ years) in corporate real estate, with exposure to multi-country portfoliosBachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate or related field preferredStrong experience leading real estate transactions end-to-end (leases, acquisitions, disposals)Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability including graphing and pivot tables, etc. (Excel-based real estate modelling)Deep understanding of commercial lease structures, landlord/tenant dynamics, and key legal termsStrong negotiation skills with experience delivering commercial outcomesExcellent stakeholder management across functions and geographiesExperience working with lease administration and portfolio management systemsStrong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to operate independently in a global, fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with lease accounting standards and financial reporting impactsFluent English speakerAbility to travel within the Americas as required (~10–20%)US Citizenship or Permanent Resident StatusWhat Will Help You On The JobExperience managing portfolios across North and South AmericaAny relevant real estate designations e.g., MCR, SIOR, CCIMKnowledge of international real estate regulations and market practicesExperience with CoStar or similar lease management platformsCAD or workplace planning tools experienceExperience in telecom, technology, or infrastructure-heavy organisationsSalary Range$107,000.00 - $169,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $133,000.00- $200,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
