Java Spring Boot Lead Software Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language, including hands-on experience building scalable microservices with Java and Spring Boot
• Knowledge of RESTful API design, security, testing, CI/CD, JPA/Hibernate, Kafka, and DevOps tools
• Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery, and the full software development lifecycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security
• Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and related IT systems
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Preferred: experience with React or other front-end technologies, using LLMs to generate workflows, or familiarity with corporate actions and SWIFT messaging networks

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions, including breaking down complex technical problems
• Build secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• Identify ways to prevent or automate recurring issues to improve application and system stability
• Lead evaluations with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectures, technical credentials, and fit with existing systems
• Lead software engineering communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of emerging technologies
• Make technical decisions, mentor developers, and uphold code quality
