Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant (F-1462568-BAB) King of Prussia, Pennsylvania Salary: USD60000 - USD75000 per year Construction Company located in the Greater Philadelphia area, looking to fill a Staff Accountant role. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts. Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation. Maintain and update the general ledger. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation. Track and report on fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting and financial issues. Assist with sales and use tax, business tax filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements. Utilize accounting software and Excel to manage and analyze financial information. Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1–2+ years of accounting experience. Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations. Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
