Facilities Staff - Custodian

Job Summary Innovation Academy Charter School seeks a custodian for a full-time position, starting immediately. Responsibilities Cleaning the facilities, including trash removal, floor cleaning, general cleaning, and sanitizing Setting up the school and miscellaneous events, and performing other related duties Addressing light maintenance issues as needed Responding to building‑related issues during off hours as needed Managing student drop off and pick up as directed Skills Ability to work independently and with colleagues on assignments Detail‑oriented and proactive in problem solving with an eye for making improvements throughout the school campus Ability to work well with individuals from many diverse backgrounds and professions, as well as the student body Physical ability to move and carry heavy loads; ability to climb stairs and ladders Qualifications Prior work experience preferred Flexible schedule with an ability to work evenings and weekends if needed High School diploma or equivalent preferred Demonstrated interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community Ability to pass a State employee background check (CORI/SAFIS) 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; overtime may be available Pay commensurate with experience EEO Statement Innovation Academy Charter School is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
