Work Environment

This Full-Time position is based onsite in the homes of our clients across The Villages area. You will work in a dynamic, diverse environment that allows you to build one-on-one relationships with patients as you guide them through their rehabilitation journeys. Our clinical culture promotes collaboration; you'll regularly interact with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and case managers, to develop and implement effective care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function according to each client's unique care plan.
• Oversee the implementation of therapy plans by Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to prescribed protocols.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities, utilizing diagnostic tests for muscles, nerves, and joints to assess individual needs.
• Analyze the home environment to make rehabilitation suggestions that enhance client independence and safety.
• Provide manual therapy techniques and instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and functional activities tailored to their capacity.
• Administer modalities such as traction, massage, and forms of physical agents to relieve symptoms and promote healing.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices based on patient assessments, communicating necessary modifications to the physician.
• Participate actively in ongoing care plan reviews and revisions, ensuring the most effective strategies are in place for each patient.
• Document patients' progress through initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams during case conferences to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Advise families and caregivers on patient-specific care strategies and the proper use of assistive devices.
• Ensure timely submission of clinical and payroll documentation as per clinic policy.
• Complete on-site functional assessments and adjust care plans based on patient progress and community resource utilization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our clinic, you will primarily work with adults experiencing musculoskeletal disorders, rehabilitation post-surgery, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications
