Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Clearwater Valley Rehabilitation Center, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients as referred by physicians, establishing a clear understanding of their needs and goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that may incorporate various therapeutic techniques and modalities suitable for orthopedic conditions.
• Provide direct patient care, delivering skilled therapeutic interventions that align with physician directives and are tailored to each patient's progress.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on care strategies and therapeutic exercises that promote recovery outside of the therapy sessions.
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes through evidence-based practices, ensuring all team members are aligned with treatment goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation related to patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes, complying with legal and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the APTA or CAPTE.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), with a strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clear and effective interaction with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in documentation and utilizing therapy management software.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, any additional certifications in specialized therapy areas (orthopedics, pediatrics, sports medicine, etc.) and experience in a home care setting will be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits
