Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Horizon Flex Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our outpatient facility located in The Villages, Florida. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in collaborating with patients to restore mobility, enhance their quality of life, and achieve personal health goals through targeted therapies and interventions. Work Environment

The role is based in our outpatient office in The Villages, Florida, where you will work directly with patients in a collaborative and supportive environment. The office is well-equipped with the latest technology and therapeutic tools essential for the efficient practice of physical therapy. Our schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a work-life balance while allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their goals and assess their physical condition.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and flexibility.
• Provide one-on-one care and treatment to 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring each receives focused attention and effective interventions.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens to enhance recovery processes and reduce reliance on medications.
• Create wellness-oriented programs that not only rehabilitate injuries but also promote long-term health and fitness.
• Monitor patient progress, documenting treatment outcomes and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with other health professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient health.
• Engage and motivate patients to take an active role in their recovery journey, reinforcing their commitment to achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. Your role will be vital in addressing the specific needs of these individuals, ensuring a tailored and effective approach to rehabilitation that fosters improvement in mobility and overall physical function.

Qualifications

• Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapist License with no board actions or disciplinary actions is necessary.
• Possession of a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or the capability to obtain one prior to employment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy is preferred.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a solid foundation in therapeutic exercise methodologies are essential.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Software, such as WebPT, is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

Horizon Flex Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
