Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, you will work onsite in a dynamic rehabilitation facility located in the scenic area of The Villages, Florida. Our facility is equipped with modern rehabilitation technologies, allowing you to utilize advanced methodologies to enhance patient recovery. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, nursing staff, and rehabilitation assistants, fostering a holistic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal muscle function.
• Evaluate patients using a range of diagnostic and prognostic tests, interpreting results to inform treatment strategies.
• Oversee the implementation of care plans by supervising physical therapy assistants, ensuring compliance with established protocols and quality standards.
• Assess home environments for rehabilitation needs and recommend adaptations to facilitate patient independence.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual exercises, traction, and massage, while instructing clients in self-management strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including on-site functional evaluations, and maintain meticulous clinical documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Regularly communicate with physicians and case managers to update on patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient outcomes and collaboratively refine treatment strategies.
• Assist clients and their families in understanding rehabilitation programs and promote adherence to therapy guidelines.
• Stay informed of the latest developments in physical therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional education and growth initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population requiring rehabilitation services due to various conditions, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative recovery. Your compassionate approach and expertise will not only empower patients to regain independence but will also significantly impact their overall emotional and physical well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license (DPT) in the state of Florida.
• At least two years of relevant experience in physical therapy, particularly in a rehabilitation or home health setting.
• CPR certification and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication and patient engagement skills, coupled with a positive attitude and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to make sound clinical decisions and take responsibility for patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have experience in acute care, home care, or similar therapeutic settings. Familiarity with evidence-based practices, rehabilitation methodologies, and a strong commitment to clinical excellence are also desirable attributes. Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 110,000 per year.
