Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is primarily onsite at our rehabilitation center located in The Villages, Florida—a community known for its active lifestyle and supportive healthcare framework. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that focus on improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall physical function, tailoring approaches to meet individual recovery goals.
• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients' physical abilities using various diagnostic and prognostic techniques, such as functional assessments to establish baseline performance and target areas for improvement.
• Utilize clinical knowledge and experience to provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and education on injury prevention and wellness strategies.
• Guide and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective delivery of prescribed treatment plans, fostering their growth and understanding of rehabilitation services.
• Monitor patient progress by keeping accurate records of treatment results and patient responses, adjusting the care plan as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve overall patient experiences and satisfaction.
• Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives to maintain licensure and stay current with advances in physical therapy practices.
• Contribute to the development and updating of clinical protocols and patient care guidelines to reflect best practices in rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related impairments. Your focus will be on facilitating maximum functional independence, promoting optimal health, and empowering patients to engage actively in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with an active Florida Physical Therapy license in good standing.
• At least one year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families, fostering collaborative relationships.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, ongoing learning, and patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specialized populations, such as geriatrics or orthopedic patients, is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
