In this role you work directly with senior executives from the world’s largest companies, delivering insightful guidance backed by our market‑leading proprietary data and tools. Your expertise and exceptional communication skills will help companies evaluate and mitigate governance risk based on shareholder perceptions while educating executives and board members on the evolving ESG landscape. Responsibilities Collaborate with over 60% of the S&P 500 and a third of the Russell 3000, cultivating and nurturing relationships with senior client executives to understand their specific needs and provide tailored advisory services on executive compensation and corporate governance trends and best practices. Conduct thorough analysis of client data and proposals to identify potential concerns related to executive compensation and corporate governance from a shareholder perspective. Leverage our comprehensive governance and compensation databases and platform to extract actionable intelligence on governance and compensation disclosures and practices, synthesizing the information for valuable insights. Develop polished client deliverables and engage in detailed discussions with C‑Suite executives, including those from legal, finance, and HR departments. Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential client needs and effectively showcase the value proposition of ISS Corporate Solutions. Contribute to developing industry‑leading intellectual capital and thought leadership on governance and compensation topics, such as white‑papers, toolkits, webinars, and presentations for individual clients and industry‑wide events. The role requires 5% travel or less, typically for conference attendance and occasional client visits. Qualifications & Education 4–7 years of successful work experience in a related role or an equivalent advanced degree with a strong understanding of the executive compensation and corporate governance landscape. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field with an exceptional performance record; an MBA or other related graduate degree is a strong plus. Strong writing and public speaking skills. Technical comfort, including the ability to quickly learn and train on SaaS applications. Effective time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills. Skills & Additional Considerations Ability to diagnose client needs and identify relevant resources. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Intellectual curiosity and ability to master complex concepts and technical subject matter quickly. Proficiency in distilling data using Excel, SQL, or other tools. Proactive in turning to others for assistance when required. Ability to present professionally and authoritatively in both client‑facing and public environments. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to produce professional and polished work product. Ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships in a cross‑functional environment. Capacity to quickly establish relationships with executives and be seen as a trusted resource. Demonstrated poise and grace under pressure. Location Washington, DC: A modern, open‑floor workspace on Rhode Island Avenue in Northwest DC, with an onsite gym and convenient metro access. Compensation The Washington, DC expected base pay range is $90,000–$100,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.
