Job Summary:
The organization is seeking experienced registered nurses (RNs) for a Medical Surgical Floor position located in St. Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing direct patient care across all age groups in a hospital setting, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Candidates are required to bring their current RN license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Position: RN Medical Surgical Floor
• Location: St. Louis, MO
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 or 48 hours guaranteed weekly, with Sunday through Saturday availability as needed.
• Qualifications: Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure, BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA, and at least 1 year of inpatient Med Surg experience.
• Certifications: BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA
• Experience: 1 year of hospital inpatient Med Surg care.
• Additional Information:
  • Utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient care and coordinate activities with ancillary departments.
  • Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Works within the scope of nursing practice outlined by the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organization standards.
  • High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids; physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
  • No call requirements.
• Unit Details:
  • Number of beds: 15 (with 15 under construction)
  • Patient ratios: 1:5-6 (day shifts), 1:6-7 (night shifts)
  • Equipment used: Nova Meters, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine
  • EMR: EPIC
• Additional notes: This position is an auto-offer and may be floated to other units based on staffing needs. The night orientation occurs during day shifts, and candidates must be available for the entire orientation week.
