This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to drive infrastructure forward, power innovation and leave your mark on our energy future.Primary ResponsibilitiesA Right of Way project Manager is a professional that is well versed in all aspects of right-of-way services for power, transportation, water, and oil and gas projects and helps recruit, develop, and manage a group of right-of-way professionals. The primary duties include: responsible for area coordination and working with team to identify market drivers, develop goals and lead team toward growth; participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations; monitor and improve technical competencies of staff and products to meet client needs; collaborate with area operations leadership, marketing and project management; participate in Right of Way business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices; implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews; participate in regional business class strategic planning, budgeting and plan implementation; track and balance staff workloads and utilizations; work with leads to establish internal and external training programs and training schedules; assist with business development efforts and provide support on proposal preparation; plan for project needs and recruit/hire staff accordingly, and drive Right of Way business class to meet project goals for growth, client satisfaction, and service diversification.ResponsibilitiesBuild and retain strong relationships with team, project managers, and client development managers throughout Massachusetts and New England Area. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, risk, quality, and client commitments across multiple projectsDirect multidisciplinary and distributed teams, balance workloads, and support staff loading and workshare across the regionCoordinate right-of-way work with design, environmental, utility, survey, legal, construction, and program management teams.Maintain effective QA/QC procedures, technical standards, and consistent project delivery practices.Mentor, develop, and retain staff; identify training, licensing, and advancement opportunities.Help area ROW Leadership plan for project needs and support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of right-of-way professionals.Support strategic planning, marketing, proposals, interviews, and business development in the Resources and Transportation markets.Perform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications 5 or more years of project management experience leading right-of-way work and teams for complex infrastructure projects.Experience managing right-of-way projects in both the Resources and Transportation markets, including utility, power, energy, roadway, transit, or rail programs.Broad experience across acquisition, relocation, title, appraisal, property management, permitting, stakeholder coordination, and construction support.Demonstrated ability to manage the full project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, risk, quality, change, and client communication.Experience developing work plans, scopes, fee estimates, staffing plans, schedules, forecasts, invoices, and project controls.Experience coordinating right-of-way activities with multidisciplinary design, environmental, utility, survey, legal, construction, and program teams.Experience with DOT, federally or state-funded transportation, rail, or transit projects, including railroad coordination, access, permitting, or third-party agreements.Experience with electric transmission, distribution, substations, renewable energy, pipelines, or other Resources-sector projects.Knowledge of New England clients, agencies, regulations, and right-of-way delivery environments.Preferred credential such as SR/WA, PMP, R/W-AC, R/W-RAC, appraisal or relocation certification, or state real estate licensure; experience with GIS-based parcel tracking or comparable project delivery systems is a plus.Demonstrated sound professional judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients, property owners, technical teams, and leadership and project stakeholders.Preference given to candidates who reside locally #LI-JC7(Note: This position will be subject to passing a drug screening)QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience7 years related experience A minimum of 2 years project management experience Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
