About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounting, including financial close, reporting, cost accounting, and inventory accounting. This leadership position demands a seasoned professional with a minimum of 15 years' experience in accounting and finance, and a background in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar inventory-intensive industry. The Chief Accounting Officer will be tasked with strengthening accounting processes, systems, and internal controls, as well as driving initiatives for process improvement and transformation. Applicants for the Chief Accounting Officer role at the company should have a proven track record in driving accounting transformation and process improvements. Strong leadership, communication, and technical accounting skills are essential, and a CPA is preferred. The role requires a strategic partner who can work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, and who is adept at developing, mentoring, and providing leadership to a large accounting team. The focus is on ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP, and the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar leadership position, such as Controller, Corporate Controller, VP Accounting, or CAO.
