Description

• Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans that tackle both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Engage in personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Coordinate care with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families for a holistic approach to treatment.
• Provide education for patients and families, promoting progress beyond the therapy setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay updated on advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment commencement.
