Maintenance Manager

Maintenance ManagerWe are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is highly focused on equipment reliability, CNC machine rebuilding, and ensuring optimal uptime across production operations. The ideal candidate is a working leader who is comfortable on the floor and capable of troubleshooting, rebuilding, and improving complex manufacturing equipment.This position will manage a small maintenance team of 2 to 3 technicians and will be responsible for all equipment, building, and property maintenance activities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily maintenance operations across all production equipment and facility systemsPerform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and rebuilding of CNC equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and controls systemsOversee preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and equipment reliabilityDiagnose and repair machining equipment issues on the plant floor including CNC mills, lathes, and automated systemsSupport and execute equipment rebuilds, retrofits, and upgrades as neededManage a small maintenance team of 2 to 3 technicians, providing direction, training, and developmentCoordinate outside contractors for specialized repairs and facility projects when neededMaintain facility infrastructure including building systems, utilities, and property upkeepEnsure compliance with safety standards and OSHA requirements in all maintenance activitiesTrack and manage maintenance-related downtime, parts inventory, and repair costsSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and reliabilityPartner with production, engineering, and operations teams to support manufacturing goalsRequired QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with CNC equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and rebuildingBackground in machining environments including CNC mills, lathes, or similar precision equipmentProven ability to work directly on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsPrior leadership experience managing small maintenance teams or working as a lead technicianStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skillsExperience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment and facility systemsUnderstanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practicesPreferred QualificationsExperience with CNC controls and automation systemsBackground in fabrication, machining, or heavy industrial manufacturingExposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement environmentsExperience managing facility maintenance in addition to production equipmentAbility to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematicsLeadership ProfileHands-on working manager who leads from the floorStrong communicator who works well with production and engineering teamsHighly accountable and safety focusedAble to balance tactical repairs with long-term equipment reliability strategyComfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal downtime tolerance gpac
