Sr. Salesforce Business Analyst (JN -092026-431123) Lake Forest, California Salary: USD185000 - USD200000 per year Senior Salesforce Business Analyst Employment Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time Salary: $185,000–$200,000 annually About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst / Salesforce Solutions Architect to serve as a senior-level Salesforce subject matter expert within the IT organization. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply versed in the Salesforce Sales Cloud ecosystem and can operate beyond traditional business analysis. The successful candidate will help define how Salesforce solutions should be designed, configured, and implemented, establish best practices, translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions, and provide technical guidance to development resources. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders and an offshore development team. While this is not a people-management position, the role will provide technical direction and guidance to developers and help ensure solutions meet business requirements, architectural standards, and quality expectations. The position will primarily support Salesforce Sales Cloud while also working with Salesforce B2B Commerce, ComplianceQuest, and related enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Serve as a senior Salesforce subject matter expert with deep knowledge of the Salesforce Sales Cloud ecosystem, platform capabilities, configuration, and best practices. Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and challenge requirements, translating complex business needs into scalable functional and technical solutions. Help establish Salesforce architecture, configuration standards, design principles, and platform best practices. Evaluate existing Salesforce functionality and recommend improvements that enhance scalability, maintainability, user experience, and business value. Provide technical direction and guidance to an offshore development team, ensuring development efforts align with requirements, architecture, and quality standards. Provide hands‑on analysis and support across Salesforce Sales Cloud, B2B Commerce, and ComplianceQuest environments. Analyze, design, configure, and support Salesforce solutions and integrated applications. Serve as a key escalation point for complex Salesforce issues and drive problems through resolution while minimizing business disruption. Support Sales Cloud functionality related to customer interactions, forecasting, agreement tracking, and sales productivity. Support ComplianceQuest workflows and applications within a regulated business environment. Partner across Sales, Marketing, Compliance, IT, and other business functions to identify opportunities for process and technology improvements. Create and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, solution designs, system configurations, workflows, and technical documentation. Lead and participate in UAT, regression testing, defect tracking, release validation, and Salesforce platform enhancements. Coordinate with development resources, service providers, and third‑party vendors supporting business‑critical systems. Take ownership of initiatives and proactively identify potential challenges, opportunities, and solutions before they become immediate business needs. Maintain a strong focus on quality, ensuring solutions are thoroughly evaluated and thoughtfully implemented. Required Qualifications 7+ years of relevant experience in Salesforce, IT business analysis, application development, solutions architecture, or a related technology function. 5+ years of hands‑on experience working within the Salesforce Sales Cloud ecosystem. Deep understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud functionality, configuration, platform capabilities, and best practices. Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into Salesforce solutions. Experience analyzing, designing, configuring, and supporting Salesforce implementations and integrated applications. Technical understanding of Salesforce development technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, scheduled and batch classes, and declarative configuration. Ability to evaluate proposed Salesforce solutions from both a business and technical perspective. Experience guiding or coordinating with development teams, including offshore development resources. Experience with application lifecycle, DevOps, or deployment tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, ANT, Change Sets, Salesforce DX, or comparable technologies. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate issues beyond the surface level. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate between technical teams and non‑technical business stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or graduate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience preferred. Highly Preferred Experience Experience within the medical device industry or another highly regulated life sciences environment is a significant plus. Experience supporting or developing SaaS products or SaaS‑based offerings is highly desirable, particularly solutions involving customer‑facing or technology‑enabled services. eCommerce or B2B Commerce experience is a plus. Salesforce B2B Commerce experience is highly desirable. Experience with ComplianceQuest or similar quality/compliance platforms is a plus. Preferred Certifications Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I Salesforce Platform App Builder Additional Salesforce architecture-focused certifications are a plus.
