Work Environment

This position is situated within an outpatient office environment that actively fosters collaboration among various healthcare professionals. The Physical Therapist will be working onsite, ensuring close communication with other team members, including physical therapy assistants and case managers, to create cohesive treatment plans. The outpatient setting allows for a variety of patient interactions and the ability to tailor treatments in real-time based on individual client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and administer physical therapy treatment focused on preventing disability, relieving pain, and improving client mobility according to the established plan of care.
• Oversee the implementation of treatment plans by physical therapy assistants to ensure effective delivery of care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional capabilities.
• Assess clients' home environments for rehabilitation potential and propose modifications to enhance their independence.
• Deliver therapeutic services as ordered by physicians, including manual therapy exercises and the administration of physical agents such as traction and massage.
• Evaluate and fit appropriately individuals with prosthetic and orthotic devices, making recommendations for modifications when necessary.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team within case conferences, collaborating on comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.
• Maintain detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.
• Educate clients and their families on physical therapy practices, including device care and rehabilitation procedures.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, advocating for their needs and adjustments to care based on observed responses to therapy.
• Participate in continuous professional development activities and stay updated with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves diverse patient populations, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic pain disorders, and clients requiring rehabilitation support following injuries. The Physical Therapist will engage closely with each client, ensuring that treatments are customized to their specific circumstances, goals, and lifestyles. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; advanced degrees such as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) are preferred.

• A current and valid PT license in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

• Strong organizational and leadership capabilities, able to positively influence and mentor support staff.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 100,000 to 120,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
