CNC Setup/Machinist

We engineer and manufacture visual safety systems for all types of commercial fleet vehicles and are one of the largest suppliers of backup camera systems, mirrors, visors, and other visual safety solutions in the nation. The truck and van industries know us through the exceptional products we provide to companies like Paccar, Mack, Morgan Olson, Oshkosh, and Utilimaster, all of whom manufacture vehicles for such notable fleets as UPS, Federal Express, United States Postal Service, and the Canada Post. salary: $40,000 - $70,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including loading programs, tooling, fixtures, and materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
• Review CNC programs and make appropriate adjustments to offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely and efficiently.
• Install and adjust cutting tools, workholding fixtures, and other machine accessories.
• Verify first-piece and in-process dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
• Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Monitor machine operation and identify unusual sounds, vibration, tool wear, or other potential problems.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time

Skills

• CNC (3 years of experience is required)
• CNC setup (3 years of experience is required)
• CNC mill (2 years of experience is preferred)
• CNC lathe (2 years of experience is preferred)
• Blueprints
