An excellent contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist with school-based experience, ready to start ASAP and continue through June 9. You’ll work across multiple elementary settings, providing targeted support to students, including collaborating with another OT and delivering proportionate share services.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois OT licensure required
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, other therapists, and support staff
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple school sites
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Enthusiasm for fostering student independence and participation in school activities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services to students at designated elementary campuses according to assigned caseloads
- Collaborate as a second OT at Cloverdale Elementary and provide services at St. Isadore as needed
- Assess students’ functional and developmental needs; create and implement individualized intervention plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and detailed reporting
- Communicate therapy goals and progress with teachers, staff, and families
- Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
