Work Environment

This position is onsite, offering an engaging work environment in the heart of Brooklyn. The clinic is designed to facilitate collaboration among healthcare professionals, ensuring that communication and teamwork are paramount in our approach to patient care. Our therapists enjoy a manageable caseload of 6 to 7 patients per day, allowing for individualized attention and personalized treatment strategies. The clinic's layout includes state-of-the-art equipment and spacious areas for both therapeutic activities and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed and comprehensive evaluations of patients to accurately assess their physical health, functional status, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that are evidence-based, focusing on enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and restoring functional abilities.
• Utilize advanced techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation to facilitate recovery.
• Educate patients on strategies for injury prevention and self-management techniques to nurture long-term health, ensuring they are equipped to maintain progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Record patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve the best outcomes while maintaining compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including orthopedic specialists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our patients range from active athletes seeking to optimize their performance to elderly individuals aiming to regain strength and independence. The Physical Therapist will be pivotal in guiding them through tailored rehabilitation processes, addressing unique challenges and setting realistic rehabilitation milestones.

Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapy license in New York State.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, specifically in outpatient orthopedic care.

Compensation and Benefits
