Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions to establish a baseline and identify specific rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient-specific evaluations, which may include a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and education on injury prevention.
• Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises, rehabilitation techniques, and lifestyle modifications that promote recovery and wellness.
• Engage in clinical teaching, contributing to the training of physical therapy interns, students, and junior staff, fostering an environment of shared knowledge and skills.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives, including the preparation and presentation of at least one in-service training annually.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and share insights on best practices within orthopedic physical therapy.
• Support clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects as directed by management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, and chronic conditions affecting mobility and functionality. You will work with a diverse patient population, including athletes, seniors, and individuals seeking to regain their independence following injury or surgery. Your expertise will play a crucial role in restoring their quality of life and helping them achieve their health goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current and active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey is necessary.
• A minimum of two years' experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills to tailor treatment plans effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly desirable, demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards in clinical practice.
• Experience working with a multifaceted team in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.

Compensation and Benefits
