Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical limitations and needs during initial assessments.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans that effectively address patient-specific therapeutic goals utilizing a variety of interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring timely and accurate electronic health record updates to reflect treatment outcomes and necessary modifications.
• Engage with patients, their families, and caregivers to provide education on home exercise programs and the effective use of assistive devices for mobility and daily activities.
• Stay updated on the latest physical therapy practices and innovations by participating in continuous education, attending workshops, and contributing to professional networks.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to deliver integrated care that maximizes recovery outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients, helping them to rehabilitate from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our clientele includes children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, each with unique rehabilitation needs. As such, you will be instrumental in creating tailored approaches that assist patients in reaching optimal recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient interactions.
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems and other relevant software for documenting patient care and maintaining records.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
