Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist for Outpatient Orthopedic Practice

Position Overview

Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and dynamic full-time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our orthopedics-focused outpatient practice in Woodbridge, New Jersey. This pivotal role involves collaborating with patients to enhance their mobility and overall wellbeing, playing a crucial part in their rehabilitation journey from initial diagnosis to achieving optimal functional outcomes.

Located in the heart of Woodbridge, our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest advancements in sports medicine. We are committed to providing top-notch rehabilitation services, dedicated primarily to patients covered by private medical insurance. Our multidisciplinary team is composed of experienced physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) devoted to fostering an environment of healing and support.

Work Environment

The working environment is vibrant and collaborative, characterized by a team-oriented atmosphere where our staff can thrive. Operating onsite from Monday to Friday, our center features advanced therapeutic equipment and private treatment rooms designed to facilitate effective and individualized patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess each patient's needs to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing specific functional limitations.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that are tailored to promote recovery and enhance mobility, adjusting techniques as necessary based on patient responses.
• Maintain a structured schedule to manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions, including manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens, to improve patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, progress notes, and any significant changes in patient conditions in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Communicate effectively with patients throughout their treatment process to motivate them and ensure they remain engaged in their care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment strategies that may encompass referrals to external services when required.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and preventative care to foster long-term wellness and minimize the risk of injury.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves an orthopedic population, treating individuals recovering from various musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Active and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Evidence of a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Competence in utilizing EMR software, specifically platforms like WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and functional exercise prescription.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
