Oakland, CA Onsite Contract/Temporary Human Resources $29+/hr Posted 4 days ago Job Description Location : Oakland, CA Work Schedule : 18 hours/week with flexibility, Monday through Thursday Compensation : $29.00/hour Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR and Payroll Coordinator to support payroll processing and daily HR operations in a part-time, on-site contract role. The successful candidate will have at least two years of hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems and will be adept at managing sensitive information with discretion. Healthcare HR experience is highly preferred. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while honing your HR and payroll skills in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Process biweekly payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Upload, maintain, and verify employee documents within the ADP platform. Support benefits administration, including filing, enrollment, and employee updates. Post open positions and perform initial candidate screenings to assist in talent acquisition. Coordinate new hire paperwork and onboarding processes to facilitate smooth integrations. Manage county accounts and related documentation for compliance purposes. Maintain HR records and ensure all documentation complies with relevant policies and regulations. Respond to routine employee inquiries, providing effective and professional HR support. Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned, contributing to team objectives. Required Qualifications: Minimum of two years of payroll processing experience using ADP. Prior experience supporting HR functions such as benefits administration, onboarding, and employee record management. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly. Ability to meet recurring deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of professionalism and strong work ethic. Preferred Skills & Experience: Healthcare industry HR experience. Familiarity with benefits enrollment and compliance documentation. Previous experience working in a part-time HR/payroll support role. Strong technology skills, particularly with payroll and HR management systems.
