Key Responsibilities\n

• Establish and nurture a trusting therapeutic relationship with each patient, creating a safe environment for open and honest communication.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders, determining the most effective treatment options.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique circumstances and needs of each patient, incorporating their input and preferences.

• Facilitate regular counseling sessions, both individual and group-based, where you will guide discussions, offer insights, and encourage patients to work on their personal growth.

• Continuously evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, responding dynamically to each individual's evolving needs.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the organization, when referring patients to specialized services or additional support.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with organizational standards and regulations.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying updated with industry standards and best practices to enhance your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Guiding Hands, you will work with a diverse client base presenting a range of challenges, including relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders. Your expertise will help these individuals, couples, and families to cope with their situations, ultimately guiding them toward healthier lifestyles and improved mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current LMFT license in the state of Florida is required.
\n
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
\n
• Strong understanding of clinical assessment tools and therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Exceptional listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Ability to foster motivation and drive behavioral change within clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in addiction counseling and knowledge of evidence-based practices concerning substance abuse and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred.

• Previous experience working in a community health setting or similar environment is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
