This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a renowned group of OB/GYN specialists and Advanced Practice Clinicians in a supportive, patient-focused environment. Work Environment

The Surgical Center is located in Amarillo, Texas, offering an energetic and collaborative work atmosphere. This onsite facility operates with a 5-day work week, averaging 40 hours. Our clinic is dedicated solely to outpatient procedures, enabling clinicians to concentrate on delivering exceptional care without the added responsibilities of hospital call. Every member of our team is empowered to practice at the peak of their license in a professional environment that focuses on evidence-based and patient-centered approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own panel of patients, providing consistent and compassionate care while handling physician overflow as needed.
• Work collaboratively alongside our physicians, receiving full support from Medical Doctors for complex cases and clinical decisions.
• Conduct a variety of procedures, including but not limited to IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, endometrial and vulvar biopsies, women’s wellness exams, and colposcopies (training provided for those not yet certified).
• Actively participate in our APC council, contributing to discussions on clinical best practices and enhancing care delivery.
• Engage in leadership training and mentorship opportunities to foster your professional development and advance your career.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant in our Surgical Center, you will be predominantly working with female patients seeking comprehensive OB/GYN care. Your expertise will directly influence their health outcomes and quality of life through preventive care, treatment of gynecological conditions, and ongoing support throughout various stages of their reproductive health.

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant Certification and unrestricted State Medical License.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience, particularly in the fields of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Completion of a Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Demonstrated ability to use Electronic Medical Records (EMR), with training in EPIC preferred.
• Strong soft skills, including critical thinking, effective communication, time management, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient surgical environment is advantageous.
• Experience with specific procedures such as colposcopies and endometrial biopsies is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing health technology systems for patient management.
